About Us

Furness PathFix is a volunteer group of outdoor folk who often use the the rights of way in the Furness area and would like to see them made much easier to use, by fixing some of the innumerable problems there are in the area – broken stiles, overgrown or blocked paths, quagmires etc.

Many of us are also involved in the Ulverston WalkFest annual festival of led walks, as either walk leaders or organisers, and we have now formed this PathFix volunteer group to try to help the local councils, farmers and landowners to get the local rights of way network back into good usable condition.

We launched in April 2025 and since then many volunteers have contributed to clearing overgrown paths, fixing stiles and installing new stiles. If you think you could help, please use our Contact Us page to let us know a bit about you.
